HFI strengthens Middle East team with key appointments

HFI has announced three key appointments to its Middle East specialist legal team.

Angela Ewen has re-joined HFI after a gap of 7 years to head up the firm's UAE Business Registration and Licensing work. Her role will be focussed on supporting clients in the establishment and operation of "onshore" branches and companies, free zone entities and offshore companies throughout the UAE including Abu Dhabi, Dubai and the five Northern Emirates.

Nabil Boustany has been appointed as HFI's network legal consultant for Saudi Arabia. Based in Riyadh, Nabil will be supporting HFI on all client work where KSA Law impacts including Saudi Aramco contracts, agency/distribution agreements and establishing new local companies and branches through the SAGIA licensing regime.

Dr Faiq Al Chalaby has been appointed as HFI's network legal consultant for southern Iraq. Originally from Basra, Faiq will be supporting HFI on client work where Iraqi Law is applicable including contracts related to the new raft of exploration and production contracts which have been awarded, service contracts, agency/distribution agreements, joint ventures and new in-country companies and branches.

These appointments reflect HFI's recognition of the importance of the UAE, Iraq and Saudi Arabia as key markets for HF clients in 2012 and beyond.
